Week 01 – Week 05

Exercise 1 & 2
MIB

Week 1/ Introduction & Type of Infographics
We began the semester with an online lecture in the first week with briefing ,  Mr. Fauzi introduced the MIB for this module. They also outlined the initial exercise, instructing us to bring materials to class for the upcoming tutorial. Mr Fauzi explained to us about  types of infographics which included:

Week 2 / Exercise 1: Quantifiable Information (10%) – Quantify raw data and
visualize information as a photograph

Quantify raw data and visualize information as a photograph

A is a visual representation of numerical data that allows for easy interpretation and analysis.

Instruction:
Gather a set of objects and separate it into category such as color, shape, pattern, and other quantifiable factor.
Example:

1. Box of Lego
2. Jar of button
3. Jar of marble ball
4. Set of colourful rubber strap

In this exercise you're required to quantify our chosen objects and arrange them into a presentable layout or chart
The information must be presented as is, and you need to arrange the objects with relevant indicators written out with pens to help you to visualize the quantity and data. The examples of objects that can be use are buttons, coins, lego pieces, M&Ms, and more.

My work Done below :

Objects that i have choosen in screws & Nails.

Data Collected , Data Arrange in types , Data arranged in colors & Lastly Data used .

Data infromation

– Observed Details:
I examined the details on each one while still in their packages. This helped me understand the data better and notice key differences or patterns.

Data Arranged type

– Arranged by Shape:
I organized the clips based on their shapes. Grouping similar shapes together helped highlight design differences and made the layout more structured and easy to compare.

Data Arrranged Colors

– Sorted Colors:
I sorted the clips by color: bronze in the inner circle, silver in the middle, and gold on the outer layer. This made it easier to see patterns and organize them clearly.

Data Outcome

– Created Designs:
Using the organized data, I developed two unique designs: one of a stunt rider on a scrambler and another of a rockstar playing a guitar. Each design reflects the patterns, colors, and shapes identified during the sorting and observation process.

EXERCISE 2: L.A.T.C.H INFOGRAPHIC POSTER

1. Organize a group of information into a visual poster that combines and utilizes the LATCH principles (Minimum 4).
Location. Alphabet. Time. Category. Hierarchy.

2. You are required to use the digital photo editing/illustration software available to assemble the information into a LATCH infographic poster.

3. You are allowed to reuse back the images but you have to create the rest of visuals to complete the poster.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Size resolution: A4 (100DPI)
2. Progress and submission link on E-Portfolio.

SUBMISSION:
1. Final poster attached to this submission.
2. E-Portfolio link attached to this submission.

Progression

First i went online to get some idea and reference
The idea i got was buiding a business step by step from start  a 5 step IDEA .

Below is the reference i got online to start for me work -

Once i got an idea of what i want i did a rough sketch of how to design it

Next Step was to bring it into illustrator and design some illustrations with my Drawing Tablet .

Illustration Drawing Done in Adobe Illustrator

Progress Work

I’ve chosen a downward flow for the infographic, like a river, showing that a business can succeed smoothly no matter the challenges, like big rocks in the way. I’m using orange because it feels warm and exciting, perfect for the start of a business full of energy and inspiration—blue (calm and steady) can represent success later, while red (too intense) doesn’t fit. The river will be blue to guide the flow.

Concept Creation
  • Image: Lightbulb
  • Description: A bright lightbulb to show the start of a new idea.

Strategy Development
  • Image: Chessboard
  • Description: A chessboard to represent smart planning and strategy, like your favorite game.

Business Plan Creation
  • Image: Notepad and graphs
  • Description: A notepad with graphs to show planning and organizing the business details.

Prototype Testing
  • Image: App screens
  • Description: App screen prototypes since you do UI/UX, showing the testing phase.

Team Building and Launch Preparation
  • Image: Rocket
  • Description: A rocket to symbolize the business launching and booming to the moon.

The design will use orange for the steps to give that warm, fired-up feeling, with a blue river flowing downward to show smooth progress toward success.

FINAL ARTWORK of L.A.T.C.H

Added Number for Better Step Understanding

Got feedback from lecturer and the advice was to change the background color for more better visual.

Below is the Final edit

PROJECT 1 & 2: INFOGRAPHIC POSTER

DESCRIPTION:
After time exploring media and learning about information design, you will now develop an infographic that presents a series of different processes as visuals rather than text.

PART 1: Infographic poster (20%)
INSTRUCTION:
1. Choose 1 infographic poster design (that is not well design) from Internet
2. Redesign the poster into A4 size. Sketch the idea and process (5 Marks)
3. Redesign and simplify the poster based on visual hierarchy & typography (5 Marks)
4. Simplify the poster's design based on color, shape & pattern (5 Marks)
5. Attach your final poster on E-Portfolio with explanation and reflective writing (5 Marks)

Infographic poster tha tis not well design

i have chosen this poster because it had a bad fonts and the color contract is not good .
lack of creativity in the illustrations also .

Redesign the poster into A4 size

Step by step progress of animation ideas

and also sketches of my idea

one static loop animation page, final animation done for infographic poster .

Tha animation style that i have chosen is simplewith lines and number guiding to the numbers and information of words, and a nice plant animation above to show growth takes time like a plant if follow the correct steps .
